Chionochloa flavicans

This is a dwarf native tussock grass. Also known as Minature Toe Toe.

Grows around 1m high by 1.5m wide. Has arching feathery seed heads. Loves a sunny position that has well draining soil. It is frost hardy. Can be grown in coastal areas. It produces plumes that are green and then change to a light brown colour. 

Adds texture to the garden but also looks awesome in a large pot.
